Due to the planned retirement of our current CFO, Farm Credit Southeast Missouri is seeking an experienced leader to be our next CFO.
Work alongside the current EVP/CFO who is retiring in the fall of 2019 to learn the responsibilities of the position and experience an 11-month cycle of audits; stockholder, regulatory, board, and management reporting; as well as working with the Executive Leadership Team and the rest of the association team prior to taking on full responsibilities of the CFO position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (CFO):
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for planning, organizing and managing the Association's overall financial and accounting operations, including planning/budgeting, internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), accounting, financial analyses, insurance, payroll and personnel/benefits activities. As the top financial officer, develops and recommends financial policies and plans and is directly accountable for the preparation and presentation of accurate and fair financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and practices.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Ten years of financial accounting and management. Thorough understanding of accounting practices, financial reporting, fiscal management and internal controls. Strong analytical skills. CPA designation and/or prior Farm Credit experience preferred.
